I know this may sound pretty funny, but I found that root beer is an excellent pairing with some of my smokes!  It seems to highten the flavors and mellow out any harshness....

Give it a shot...If you don't like it, I'll send ya fifty cents for inconvenience!!  lol...

Another great non-alcoholic beverage to pair with cigars is creme soda. Not only does it complement the flavors of a rich, robust cigar well, but it also cleanses your palate, allowing you to appreciate each puff that much more.

    I'll have to try that....

Normally I'll drink club soda for a palate cleanser, but that sounds a lot better!

Although it is a little 'girlie', another great palate cleanser to pair cigars with is Tia Maria. Ask the bartender for a double-shot and sip it as you burn your cigar.

Other than that, I'll have a dark, chocolatey stout or single malt.

I love some good beer with a smoke as well...

Other than that I love a nice port...problem with that is that I'll drink so much of it...it just goes down too easy

The only time I will have port with a cigar is if I have the whole bottle next to me, because...well, like you said, it goes down too easy. I'm barely an inch into my cigar and ordering another.

Smoka, I remember when you first told me about the C10 and rootbeer.  I just had to try it, and since then, it is my favorite non-ETOH beverage pairing!

I am also one to go overboard with the port.  I like the viscosity, it helps coat your throat with a dry cigar.  Other than the port, I tend to reach for a good 12-18 year scotch, something that is smooth, with vanilla and caremel notes.

But one of my all time favorite drinks is Grand Marnier neat, with a Cohiba Toro.  I like the flavor and aroma that the cedar sleeve gives the cigar, making a great match with the GM.

Last Saturday night I had a Punch PC (ISOM) with the GM neat. I really liked the combo. The GM was a great palate cleanser.

    How 'bout a Fresca?
